Aftercare Instructions

  • DO NOT eat or drink for two hours following the procedure.  (Water is fine!)
  • The gem will take approximately 24 hours for the adhesive to reach maximum strength.  During this time:
    • Eat softer foods
    • Do not touch or play with the gems.  Do not pick at them or play with them using your tongue
  • Do not brush your teeth for the first 12 hours.  Do not use an electric tooth brush for 48 hours.
  • Once the gem is completely set, it is important to perform regualr dental hygiene - including brushing and flossing - including around the gem, to prevent plaque buildup.
